Schlegel diagram of the Tesseract
The Tesseract is the four dimensional hypercube or 4-cube.

In the picture Crucifixion (Corpus Hypercubus), Salvador Dali has painted a net of the Tesseract.

Pictures are normally a 2-dimensional representation of 3-dimensional objects. Dali had taken that convention one dimension higher.
Notice that Dali has painted a shadow on the floor representing the net of a cube.
