LivMS Event:

To understand the mystery and complexity of various artistic designs one has to understand mathematical rules governing their creation. We start by exploring repetitious patterns and Escher-type geometric designs. Using symmetries and other recursive rules we study plane and 3D patterns, including fractal structures. Visualizing solutions of equations, we study beautiful images of algebraic surfaces and their properties.

Please bring color pencils, a compass and a ruler.
