* Door Charge: The lecture is free to students of all ages, and to members of the LivMS. Others will be charged 4 at the door.

This is the Presidential Lecture of the Liverpool Mathematical Society for 2016/17.

Declan Davis gained MMath and PhD degrees at Liverpool University and now teaches
at Belvedere Academy in Liverpool. Declan will talk about modular arithmetic and
finite fields, then Diffie-Hellman, RSA, Elliptic Curves and finally
Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman cryptosystems.

The lecture will be suitable for all students 16+ and their teachers.
