This is the Presidential Lecture of the Liverpool Mathematical Society for 2016/17.
Declan Davis gained MMath and PhD degrees at Liverpool University and now teaches
at Belvedere Academy in Liverpool. Declan will talk about modular arithmetic and
finite fields, then Diffie-Hellman, RSA, Elliptic Curves and finally
Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman cryptosystems.
