CommutativeOperation

A commutative operation is a binary operation in which

a * b = b * a

That is, the order does not matter.

Examples of commutative operations are:

addition of integers
addition of matrices
multiplication of integers

Examples of non-commutative operations are:

composition of functions
multiplication of matrices
multiplication of quaternions
